Effective
The short version
- We collect what you send us through our form, email or phone, plus basic technical data when you visit the site.
- We use analytics and advertising tools (like Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta Pixel) to understand traffic and measure our own ads.
- We don't sell your information for money, and we never sell or rent your contact details to anyone.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or opt out of ad tracking, by emailing gilbert@pxlpls.com.
This policy explains how PixelPulse Media ("PixelPulse," "we," "us") handles information collected through pxlpls.com (the "site"). It covers visitors to the site and people who contact us through it. It doesn't cover the ad accounts or data we manage for clients, which are handled under each client's agreement.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you request a free audit or otherwise contact us, we collect what you choose to share, which may include:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Your company website
- Your type of business and approximate monthly ad spend
- Anything you write in the message field, or tell us by email, phone or text
If you give us access to an ad account for an audit, we only use that access to review the account for you.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, some information is collected automatically by our hosting provider and by tools on the site, such as:
- Your IP address and general location (city or region, not your exact address)
- Browser type, device type and operating system
- Pages you view, how long you stay, the page or ad that sent you here, and links you click
- Cookie identifiers and similar online identifiers
How we use it
- To reply to you, run the audit you asked for, and talk about working together
- To send you information you asked for (we don't add anyone to a newsletter or mailing list)
- To understand how people use the site and improve it
- To measure how well our own ads work and show our ads to people who've visited the site
- To keep the site secure and prevent spam or abuse
- To comply with the law and protect our rights
Who we share it with
We share information only with companies that help us run the business, and only as needed:
- Hosting: Vercel hosts the site and processes standard server logs.
- Form delivery: FormSubmit delivers form submissions to our inbox.
- Email and business tools: our email provider and the tools we use to manage client communication.
- Analytics and advertising: Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads) and Meta (the Meta Pixel). See the next section for details.
We may also share information if required by law, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a merger, sale or transfer of the business.
We don't sell your personal information for money. However, under California law, letting advertising partners like Google and Meta collect data on our site for targeted ads can count as "sharing" or a "sale." You can opt out of that at any time (see Your privacy rights).
Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use, or may use, the following tools. They set cookies or use similar technology in your browser:
- Google Analytics 4 shows us which pages people visit and how they found the site.
- Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing tell us when someone who clicked our ad contacts us, and let us show our ads to past visitors.
- Meta Pixel does the same for our Facebook and Instagram ads.
These companies may collect information about your activity on our site and on other websites over time. Their use of that information is covered by their own privacy policies: Google and Meta.
You can limit this tracking by:
- Blocking or deleting cookies in your browser settings
- Using the Google Analytics opt-out add-on
- Managing ad personalization in Google's My Ad Center and Meta's ad preferences
- Opting out through the Digital Advertising Alliance or the Network Advertising Initiative
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
There's no common standard for how websites should respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, so the site doesn't change its behavior when it receives one.
We do treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for that browser.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including California, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we've collected about you and how we've used and shared it
- Get a copy of that information
- Correct information that's wrong
- Delete your information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your information for targeted advertising
- Not be treated differently for using any of these rights
We'll honor these requests from anyone, whether or not a specific privacy law applies to us. To make a request, email gilbert@pxlpls.com with "Privacy request" in the subject line, or call 760-681-2832. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it, and we'll respond within 45 days. You can also have an authorized agent make a request for you.
California residents can also ask, once a year and free of charge, whether we've shared personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing. We don't.
Reviewing or changing your information
Want to see, update or remove what you've sent us? Email gilbert@pxlpls.com and we'll take care of it.
How long we keep it
We keep contact and inquiry information as long as we need it to talk with you, provide services and keep normal business records, and then delete it. Analytics data is kept according to the settings of each tool, typically no longer than 14 months for Google Analytics.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including HTTPS across the whole site and limited access to our inbox and tools. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Children
The site is for businesses and isn't directed to children under 16. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Visitors outside the US
We're based in the United States, and the site is hosted here. If you visit from another country, your information will be processed in the US.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top. If the changes are significant, we'll make that clear on the site.
